Requirements for organic production that cover plant production, animal husbandry, bee-keeping, the collection of wild products, and the processing and labeling of the products made from organic ingredients. It does not cover procedures for verification such as inspection or certification of products.
The standards have been adopted by Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda.

National Organic Agricultural Movement of Uganda (NOGAMU) is an umbrella organization which unites producers, processors, exporters, NGOs and other institutions and organizations that are involved in the promotion and development of the organic sector in Uganda.
