Canada and Costa Rica have signed an equivalence agreement which allows organic agricultural products produced and certified in Canada to be sold in Costa Rica, and organic agricultural products of plant origin produced and certified in Costa Rica to be sold in Canada. Products must meet the food safety and labeling requirements of the destination country.
