The Danish government has budgeted approximately $750,000 (DDK 5 million) to support farms that wish to switch to organic methods, reports The Organic Standard. Transition support in 2015 resulted in 22,000 hectares in conversion to organic, three times more than 2014. Demand for organic products in Denmark has increased in recent years, but overall organic acreage has fallen.
