Ongoing investigations concerning alleged fraud by Luigi Marinucci, the owner of the Sunny Land company are coming to a close in Sardinia, Italy. Discovered in 2011, the fraud took place from 2007-2010, and included over 40 million euros of faked invoices and 100,000 metric tons of fraudulent organic products. Investigations to date have led to the arrest of 16 people, trials began in May 2012.
