Organic Monitor reports that organic food sales this year are expected to expand by 25-30 percent to $100 million as distribution increases and as the government drafts laws to for organic agriculture, to support both domestic use and exports. The primary users of organic products in Russia are middle to upper class, typically aged 25-45, university educated, and living in Moscow and St. Petersburg. People choose organic products for health benefits, lack of artificial ingredients, natural flavor, and safety.
