The public’s concern about the quality of green products, especially unquarantined imports, has boosted demand for organic products. To help meet the demand, the government has established a company to grow 6,000 tonnes of organic produce in Ha Noi’s rural Dan Phong District. The plan is to supply the northern and national market while creating jobs and income for local people. Products with the organic label sold more quickly and at higher prices, due to a perception of quality.
