The International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) is working on the next version of its international organic standards, and seeks input by June 16, 2013. The proposed version addresses concerns expressed by the IFOAM members during the 2011 General Assembly, namely on protected cropping and on social justice. Version 1.1 of the standards is slated to be complete in April 2014. Additional changes to the aquaculture section will come in a future update for 2015.
