The Prime Minister of Bhutan, Jegmi Thinley, announced his country is developing a National Organic Policy as part of a pledge to become 100 percent organic in food production. Doing so will ensure “that crops and the earth on which they grow, will become genuinely sustainable,” he said at the Sustainable Development Leaning Event at UNCSD Rio+20 June 2012.
