Organic Monitor predicts that eco labels for foods will continue to proliferate in 2013. Over 200 seals and logos are currently in use, highlighting ecological, ethical, ingredient or sustainability attributes of agricultural products. Organic products comprise the bulk of the estimated US $75 billion (about EUR 56 billion) eco-labeled food and drink market. With more than 84 countries introducing national organic standards, a lack of harmonization could lead to a rise in organic eco-labels.
