On October 3, Ukranian President Viktor Yanukovych signed the law number 425-VII "on the production and circulation of organic agricultural products and raw materials." The law defines the legal, economic, social and institutional framework of organic agriculture, requirements of cultivation, production, processing, certification, labeling, transportation, storage and marketing of organic products and raw materials.
