In the last seven years, organic food exports from Denmark have quadrupled, with a record 1,166 million DKK in 2012. Germany and Sweden receive a combined 68 percent of Denmark’s organic food exports, and countries outside Europe represent five percent of sales. Meanwhile, imports were up 4.6 percent in 2012 due to an increase in cattle fodder imports.
