Food vendors to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, held in July and August, will be encouraged to use certified organic foods when they are available and affordable. The Commonwealth Games encompasses 4500 athletes in 70 teams from the Commonwealth of Nations. Other provisions of the catering charter include featuring local and regional food.
