The first of two public review and comment periods for proposed updates to Canada’s organic standards will run until September 22, 2014. Changes have been suggested for both the general principals and management standards: CAN/CGSB 32.310 and CAN/CGSB 32.311 Organic production systems ― Permitted substances lists. These draft documents, in versions with changes visible and with changes incorporated (for easier reading), as well as minutes from Canadian General Standards Board meetings where changes were discussed, are available online in both English and French.
