Saudi Arabia now has 112 certified organic farms, representing 33,709 hectares andup from just 10 in 2000, according to the Saudi Gazette. Demand for Saudi organic products, especially fresh produces, is increasing. Meeting local demand with local production has been a challenge; organic products are now available at local markets, specialized organic shops and hypermarkets.
