IFOAM – Organics International Annual Report 2014 shows the worldwide market for organic products was valued at 54 billion euro in 2013, with the United States, Germany and France leading. Meanwhile, per capita consumption, as measured in spending on organic products was highest in Switzerland, Denmark and Luxembourg. Organic agriculture uses 43.1 million hectares, or 0.98 percent of the world’s total agriculture land.
