The Eau Vive regional chain continues to expand, and has good success with its new store in Pontarlier, near the Swiss border. One of the store’s features is an extensive section of bulk bins, which save customers money over prepackaged products. Retail turnover at Eau Vive was 52 million euros net in 2014, up 17% from 2013. Approximately half of the stores in the 28 store chain are frnachises, and the company palns to expand nationally, with 70 organic specialty stores in the next five years, particularly in urban areas with over 100,000 inhabitants.
