In order to encourage farmers to switch to organic production to address a 40 deficit in organic supplies, National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia (NASAA) and the Organic Federation of Australia held a series of workshops. Organic is the fastest growing sector in Australian agriculture, up 15-25 percent each year but still lags behind demand. Furthermore, interest in organic products is strong among Millennials and Generation Y, as they begin starting families.
